Kypris received her Master’s in Biochemistry from UC Irvine in 1990 and worked as a scientist and technical writer for 10 years before deciding she wanted to contribute in a more meaningful way to the world.
Kypris returned to school and received her M.A in Counseling Psychology from National University in 1999, the same year that her son was born! As a result, Kypris took five years away from her career to focus on caring for her son.
When Kypris returned to work, she gained 10 years experience working with couples as a spiritual counselor and received extensive training as a shaman, tantra practitioner, and Reiki healer. For her therapist training, Kypris spent a year working for Sharp Hospice as a bereavement therapist and 5 years working as a telephone counselor for Optum Employee Assistance, and 2.5 years at the non-profit Explore Counseling. She is currently licensed as an LMFT therapist in California and also offers Relationship and Sexuality coaching through her Love Witch Coaching Service.
Kypris is the author of four self-help books and is currently completing a novel titled “The Nexus”.
