This was so hard for me, because it seemed a very selfish thing to do. I had been taught that it was noble and spiritual to sacrifice my needs for the needs of others. Changing this pattern has been uncomfortable, and what finally persuaded me to do it was realizing how much I had left my feminine center to stay in relationship with my lovers. I was in a lot of pain because I had abandoned myself and my needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finding my way back was easy, once I had the desire and willingness. My guides and the divine energies helped me, through dreams, trance journey messages, and strong intuitions received in meditation. I did the practices of Cultivating Feminine Energy and of Making Love to the God daily, and eventually I was given a ritual to anchor my marriage to Spirit and to myself. This ritual I named the Self Marriage Ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since creating and experiencing this ritual, I have become stronger in knowing what is best for me in relationship, and in asking for that. I have received transformational healing of my abandonment fears through setting intention to release them and allowing a healer to work on me in that willing state. Her work was powerful, and released a giant shard of pain from my heart.
